Hassan Sarbakhshian, born in 1968 in the city of Tabriz,
U.S. Associated Press news agency (1999-2009) in Tehran, Iran.
I moved to NY from Aug. 2009 as Iranian authorities refused to renew my press card after worked 10 years as a photographer for AP.
In past 10 years I photographed all events in Iran and around my country such as three wars:
Iran -Iraq war(1980-88), Afghanistan-US war on Nov 2002 and Iraq-US war on 2003.
My photos has been published in New York Times, Washington Post, Newsweek, Time, Economist and many other international newspapers and magazines

"Time Pulse" (2005)
The book "Time Pulse" was published in both English and Persian, 160 pages and 121 photos covering events in Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, and the Athens Olympics in 2004.
The preface was contributed by Dr. Shahidul Alam, the head of the jury of the World Press Photo in 2000 and Jim Muir, the former BBC correspondent in Iran
Recent Projects
Iranian Jews (2006-2009)
A very first and unique work on the life of 30,000 Iranian Jewish minorities with more than 2700 years history. This minority is now on the edge of disappearing. More than 70 locations all around Iran were included in this project and its book is ready to be published.
Iranian 10th presidential election and its aftermath (2009)
Unique documentary short video movie of June 12th Presidential Election, its campaigns, demonstrations, injured people in clash with riot- police and trials of protectors in revolutionary courts. An amazing package of my pictures with other Iranian photographers will be shown in this movie.
