
During his trips to Paris, Nassereddin, who already was fascinated by the wonder
of photography, purchased equipment and ordered his courtiers to study and learn its science and processes. Back in Iran, it seems that he lost no time in putting to extensive practice his newly-acquired hobby, photographing everything that was in sight: his palaces, courtiers, court jesters, official ceremonies, private parties and sporting events.
