بسياری از مردم دنيا که

بسياری از مردم دنيا که خواهان شروع جنگ نيستند شايد نمیخواهند امروز به پايان برسد و فردا فرا برسد اما برعکس عده ای آنچنان انتظار فردا را می کشند که گويا در انتظار ديدار معشوقشانند ولی فراتر از آندو گروه مردمی هستند که اينجا درمانده اند و از ترس جانشان به کوه و بيابان پناه برده اند آنها را من چنان ديدم که از بس در ساليان دراز درگير جنگ بودند به آن عادت کرده اند همچنان که مردم افغانستان چنانند و بسياری نقاط ديگر دنيا!
اما در اين ميان بسيار جای تعجب است که بوش با صلابتی مثال زدنی مردم عراق را خطاب قرار داده و میگويد: ما برايتان آزادی خواهيم آورد!!
اين کلمه آزادی عجيب کلمه ايست! در تمامی دوران تاريخ همگان به نوعی برای بدست آوردن آن تلاش کرده و چه بسا عده ای هم موفق شده اند. اما به نظر من نکته ای که نبايد فراموش شود اينست که بسيار دردناک خواهد بود اگر آزادی از اين پس توسط ديگران هديه شود! بايد در انتظار بود و به فرداها نگريست که چه ما دوست داشته باشيم و چه نداشته باشيم از راه خواهند رسيد و آيندگان خواهند توانست به قضاوت بنشينند و اگر عاقل باشند عبرت بگيرند از آنچه رخ داده است.
